Clearwater Nature Center

Located at 11000 Thrift Rd, Clinton, MD 20735, in Cosca Park, the Clearwater Nature Center is home to a variety of outdoor activities and exhibits. The center offers programs for children and adults of all ages. Various interpretive programs and volunteer opportunities are also available. Visitors can also enjoy the large park surrounding the center, which contains a variety of hiking trails. A playground is also available at the park. The nature center offers a number of free programs, including Wilderness Survival With A Ranger and Creek Hikes. It also offers several curriculum-based nature programs for schools. For children, the center has a number of interactive exhibits and live animal exhibits. A birthday party package is available. This package includes a live animal show, three hours of auditorium use and other special activities. The center is also home to a butterfly garden and lapidary laboratory.

The nature center is also home to the oldest American replica of the Lourdes Grotto. Visitors can also experience crafts of late 19th century life in west central Florida. There are also several exhibits on prehistoric inhabitants of the area.

The center also offers a small indoor pond, which contains a touch tank that allows children to interact with local wildlife. The center also offers a number of interpretive programs, which can be arranged by community groups. It is located just outside of Baltimore. The center is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. A nominal fee may apply for some programs.
